Tasting NotesThis wine has a stunning vibrant pale straw colour. The nose has an interesting aroma of sea air, quince, nettles and greengage. It is complex and refreshing. The palate is crisp and complex with typical cool climate Sauvignon blanc flavours of greengage, quince, guavas and crisp lingering finish. The mid palate is focussed yet mouth filling with a stunning grip and ends with a slight saltiness.
Ageing Potential: Drink now through till 2018.

Tasting NotesThis wine exhibits a fresh green-gold hue, testament to its barrel fermentation and maturation. The nose shows primary Viognier aromas of ripe peach, apricot and later jasmine flower. A fresh, rich mouth filling palate infused with white stone pip flavour and telltale Viognier spices. Positive freshness (suggest longevity) coupled with subtle wooding ensure a crisp clean finish and lingering after taste.

Tasting NotesThe Laszlo 2008 has an intense deep purple colour with a bright hue. The bouquet has rich, complex layers of black cherries, plums and blackberries with subtle nuances of tobacco leaf, Bournville chocolate and marzipan. These opulent flavours come through on the palate and meld seamlessly with tobacco flavours balanced with exceptionally well-integrated oak nuances.

Ernie Els Proprietor's Syrah 2011 Price £22.49
Tasting NotesA terrific vintage for Syrah where the warmer conditions assisted in an incredibly powerful, yet finely tuned wine. Inky purple with a black core, the nose opens to smoked beef, dense blueberry, a touch of cassis and hints of scorched earth. The palate is plush and inviting with ingrained dark chocolate, gamey spice and even a hint of black truffle. The polished tannins are slightly more open than the 2010, as they appear to be coated with eternal layers of sweet fruit. The finish is long and clear with a freshness and savoury edge balancing the purity of fruit. Utterly balanced for immediate enjoyment, it will age well for up to a decade.
Ageing Potential: Taught and alluring at the moment, time will bring even more complexity and pleasure.

Tasting NotesThis wine shows multi-layered berry spice aromas and savoury, wild berry flavours on the nose which reflects the characteristics of the 2008 vintage. On the palate the red fruit flavours are supported by well-integrated firm cedar oak tannins. Ageing Potential: Due to its elegant, well structured cultivar fruit balance, this wine can be matured in the bottle for another seven years.

Tasting NotesSweet spice, freshly picked red plums, black cherries and cola are supported by aromatic toasted coconut and milk chocolate from the youthful oak. The bright cored palate of the 2011 is less dense than previous vintages, showing more elegance and freshness, but retaining the characteristic fine grained, polished tannin structure that is accessible and mouth-watering now, but will also develop further complexity with bottle age.

Tasting NotesThe 2009 Rubicon is one of the very best produced to date. A combination of almost perfect weather conditions and mature, healthy and properly sighted vines has ensured a classic, expressive Rubicon. Very deep, youthful colour, and intense almost purple hue. Very classic Rubicon nose withviolets, ripe plum, cedar wood and intense spiciness. Still young and still intense, promising further maturation potential. The palate is full bodied, structured but packed with fresh dark fruit and rounded, linear tannins.
Ageing Potential: 15 - 20 years, provided wine is stored in ideal cellar conditions.
